The JUIRE (pronounced “Jury”) project is an innovative approach that utilizes accountability circles composed of diverse patient, community and content experts to systematically examine the effectiveness of the workshops and trainings. Led by principal investigator Dr. Monica McLemore and co-investigators Dr. Brittany Chambers and Dr. Karen Scott, the JUIRE project aims to represent Black Feminist Theory by centering the experiences of Black women through research and evaluation in a way that also engages the leadership, knowledge, creation, and uplifting of work from other women of color, particularly Black women.
